Friday 15th March to Sunday 29th September 2019
Introduced in 2017, our ‘Lotus Stargazer’ Belle Tents are the first of their kind with a clear roof allowing you to make the most of the amazing night skies we get in Dorset. Sleeping up to 4 people, the tents are spacious and have a double bed and two single camp beds. The bell tents are already set up for you on arrival and they have a strong waterproof lining to keep you dry. There is plenty of headroom inside the tent, plug sockets for charging phones and an outdoor picnic bench for alfresco dining. The tents are 5 metres in diameter and very spacious inside. Bedding is provided and made up on arrival and you have full use of the Shower and toilet block a short walk away – please bring your own towels, tea towels and washing up cloths.
The Stargazer Bell Tent at Golden Cap has a prime location on the park, in a secluded ‘glamping’ area with 3 Camping Pods and a Safari Tent. It is a short walk from the Shower and Toilet Block in the Red Hill View area of the park and it is also a short walk to the children’s play park. The Park Reception, Pizza Takeaway, Anchor Inn pub and Seatown Beach are just a 5 minute walk away.

These Bell Tents are great for holidays with family, friends or romantic breaks with someone special, and particularly good for anyone interested in stargazing. As shown in the pictures below, there is a clear PVC roof on the tent that will allow for stargazing on clear nights. Dorset is one of the best areas in the UK to view the night sky and the milky way. Visit our stargazing tips page for more information. The Park is surrounded by 2,000 acres of National Trust land in a peaceful valley with a beautiful pebble beach. The South West Coast Path runs right past the park and to both the east and west there are fantastic views across Dorset from Thorncombe Beacon and Golden Cap.
There is a large picnic bench outside to enjoy the great outdoors and parking is available next to the Glamping area. BBQ’s are permitted on the grass area outside and we supply bricks for the BBQ’s to be placed on. Please be aware that this is still a tent and that warm clothing, blankets etc may be required on cold nights. The Tent has a clear PVC roof but also a canvas roof that can be hooked across the ceiling to ensure you aren’t woken up by the sun in the morning.

Advanced bookings are essential during peak periods and a minimum of 3 nights applies. Unfortunately Gazebos, open fires and fire pits are not permitted. The electric hook up supply is 10 amp. Check in is from 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is 10am. Bookings must commence on a Friday for 3 nights, a Monday for 4 nights or either a Friday or Monday for 7, 10 or 14 nights.
***For 2019 bookings, linen and bedding packs are available as an extra charge on Bell Tent holidays. Many people like to bring their own bedding or sleeping bags on their glamping holiday, but if you wish to have a pack provided these are charged at £16.50 per double bed and £12.50 per single bed and can be added on during the booking process. The pack includes duvet, pillows, sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers and will be put in the bell tent ready to be made up upon your arrival. If you are looking for glamping accommodation where linen and bedding is included and made up for your arrival, see our Safari Tents at Golden Cap Holiday Park.***
Please note dogs are not permitted in our Stargazer Bell Tents, but we do have Premier Camping Pods available at Golden Cap Holiday Park and Highlands End Holiday Park that are dog friendly
